Privacy Policy
For detailed information regarding the collection, use, disclosure, protection, and management of your personal data by the Singapore Fashion Council (SFC) in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore, please refer to our official Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms of Use.
Terms & Conditions of Service
These Terms and Conditions of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you, the individual or entity accessing or using the Service (“User” or “you”), and Impact Retail, an educational initiative of the Singapore Fashion Council (“SFC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Impact Retail website and all related services, features, content, and functionalities (collectively, the “Service”).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, the User expressly acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms, including any future amendments or modifications. Any breach of these terms or any part thereof, you must immediately discontinue the use of the Service.
1.1 Capacity to Contract
If you do not agree to these Terms or any part thereof, you must immediately discontinue use of the Service.
2. Modifications to Terms
SFC reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these Terms at any time at its sole discretion. Changes will take effect upon posting on the Service, unless otherwise stated. Your continued access to or use of the Service after posting constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically to stay informed of updates.
3. Eligibility
The Service is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of age or who have obtained parental or legal guardian consent. By accessing or using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements and that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and current.
4. Workshops, Events, and Booking Policy
4.1. Booking Requirements
To secure a booking for any workshop or event (“Event”), the User must provide accurate, current, and complete information as requested during the registration process.

Impact Retail/SFC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any Event, at its sole discretion, upon providing the User with at least one (1) week’s written notice. In the event of a cancellation initiated by SFC, the User shall be entitled to a full refund of the fees paid for that specific Event.
4.3. User Rescheduling and “No-Show” Policy
4.3.1. Customer Rescheduling
A User wishing to reschedule their confirmed booking must provide Impact Retail/SFC with a minimum of one (1) week’s written notice prior to the original Event date. Subject to availability, the User may be permitted to reschedule their attendance for another Event covering the relevant theme for which the original ticket was purchased.
4.3.2. “No-Show” Policy
Failure by a User to attend a confirmed Event without prior notice or providing insufficient notice (less than one (1) week) shall constitute a “no-show.” In such instances, the User shall forfeit the full amount of the fee paid, and no refund, credit, or rescheduling shall be permitted.
5. User Obligations
5.1. Compliance with Laws
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations of Singapore, including the PDPA and the Copyright Act 2021.
5.2. Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information whenever requested through the Service and to promptly update such information to maintain its accuracy.
5.3. Prohibited Conduct
You shall not:
- Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair its operation or interfere with other Users’ access;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, including servers, systems, or networks.
- Upload, transmit, or distribute any material that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or otherwise objectionable; or
- Misrepresent or impersonate any individual or entity, including SFC or Impact Retail.
5.4. Security and Account Responsibility
If you create an account or receive access credentials, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for all activities under your account. You must notify SFC immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
6.1. Ownership
All content, materials, and intellectual property available through the Service—including text, images, graphics, logos, designs, software, and digital assets (“Content”)—are the exclusive property of SFC, its licensors, or content partners and are protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2. Limited License
SFC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, educational, or non-commercial purposes only, in accordance with these Terms.
Upon launch, participants who successfully complete an SFC-certified Train-the-Trainer (TTT) course will be granted a limited educational licence to use the approved course materials solely for instructional purposes. This licence is non-transferable and remains subject to any additional terms, conditions, or usage guidelines set out under the certification programme. SFC reserves the right to revoke these rights at its discretion should any misuse or non-compliance occur.
6.3. Restrictions
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, display, perform, publish, transmit, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any Content without prior written permission from SFC or the rights holder.
6.4. Trademarks
All trademarks, service marks, and trade names displayed on the Service are the property of SFC or their respective owners. Nothing in these Terms grants any licence or right to use such marks without prior written consent.
7. Data Protection and Privacy
7.1. Compliance with the PDPA
SFC is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the PDPA. By accessing or using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, disclosure, and processing of your personal data as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
7.2. Collection of Personal Data
SFC may collect personal data you voluntarily provide, including your name, contact details, organisation, and other information submitted through the Service. Additional data may be collected automatically, such as IP addresses, device information, and browsing activity, for analytics, operational, and security purposes.
7.3. Use of Personal Data
Your personal data may be used for:
- Providing, operating, and improving the Service.
- Communicating with you, including responding to enquiries and providing updates.
- Facilitating participation in SFC events or programmes;
- Complying with laws and regulations; and
- Any other purpose reasonably related to the above, permitted under PDPA.
7.4. Disclosure of Personal Data
SFC may disclose personal data to:
- Authorised service providers or partners performing functions on our behalf;
- Government authorities or regulators where required by law; and
- Other third parties with your consent or as permitted under PDPA.
7.5. Protection of Personal Data
SFC implements reasonable safeguards to protect personal data. However, no electronic transmission or storage method is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
7.6. Retention of Personal Data
Personal data will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfil the collection purpose or as required by law.
7.7. Access, Correction, and Withdrawal of Consent
You may request access to, correction of, or withdrawal of consent for your personal data in accordance with PDPA. SFC will process requests per legal and internal policies through the Sustainability Team. As such, please contact sustainability@sgfashioncouncil.org.sg for these enquiries.

8. Service Provision and Nature of Content
8.1. Description of Service
The Service provides educational content, facilitates access to exhibitions (e.g., “Denim Decoded”), and manages enrolment in workshops offered by Impact Retail/SFC.
8.2. Disclaimer of Professional Advice
All content is for educational and informational purposes only and shall not be construed as professional, financial, or legal advice. Reliance on such information is at the User’s sole risk.
9. User Covenants and Prohibited Conduct
9.1. Compliance with Law
Users agree to use the Service strictly in accordance with these Terms and applicable laws, statutes, and regulations.
9.2. Prohibited Conduct.
Users shall not:
- Unauthorized Commercial Exploitation: Use the Service or its content for unauthorized commercial purposes, including resale or republication.
- Unauthorized Access: Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or connected systems.
- Data Scraping: Use automated systems (robots, spiders, bots) to access or extract content.
- Impersonation: Misrepresent identity or affiliation with any person or entity.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
10.1. No Warranties
The Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. SFC makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service.
10.2. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SFC, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
11. Indemnification and User Responsibility
11.1. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SFC, Impact Retail, and their officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from:
- Your access to or use of the Service;
- Any breach of these Terms;
- Any infringement of intellectual property or third-party rights; or
- Misuse or unauthorised use of the Service.
11.2. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your conduct while using the Service and for any content or information you provide, upload, or transmit.
11.3. Cooperation
You agree to cooperate fully with SFC in defending any claims subject to indemnification. SFC reserves the right to assume exclusive control of the defence of such claims.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
12.1. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
12.2. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall first be referred to mediation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
